In the month of May I travelled out to Nantucket to meet some photography friends. We basically stood in the rain and waited for a break in the weather. A day later I took a small puddle jumper plane out to Maine to visit a couple more friends. Boy, it sure sounds like I have a lot of friends! I hope my mom reads this and sees I am doing ok. Hi Mom! Both Maine and Nantucket are beautiful places. Thanks to Ray and Johnny & Rebecca for feeding me and tucking me in at night. I had a lot of fun meeting the dozens of photographer friends that weekend.
Personally the month of June was very busy for me. Without boring you, I basically worked a lot. More than I would like but sometimes a guy feels like there is no choice? We will work on that. Balance is not easy sometimes and I want the best for my family. Anyway- lets skip this part for now.
So, here it is August and I am going through these film scans. I did initially post a couple but I never even added them to my Lightroom catalog till now. I hadn't even looked at all of them before now. Incidentally I enjoyed looking through the photos this time around than in June when I received the scans. I am sure there is a message here. Something like be patient and manage your expectations or something. I have heard of people shooting for an entire year before they look at or review their photos. That is crazy.
The photos above were of Nantucket and Cap Cod.
Below are some of the photos from my trip to Maine. Coastline is really some of the most beautiful types of landscape.
All photos shot on a Leica M-A or Contax 645. The colour film is Fuji 400H and the black and white is Kodak Tri-X. All film is developed and scanned by Richard Photo Lab out of California.
