I can never edit a digital photo to a satisfying result. I spent 10 minutes editing one of these photos, the other I spent 15 seconds. The photo that took 15 seconds I love immeasurable more. One of the reasons I prefer shooting film is I only spend large amounts of time in front of a computer screen when I am trying to write blog post. Which do you prefer? The first or the second? Ultimately personal taste is... well, it's personal.
If you want a hint on which is which look at the crop size.
The digital raw file was edited in Lightroom, the real photo was developed and scanned by Richard Photo in California. I used Portra 400 film, over-exposed by 2 stops, and used a creamy and somewhat soft lens; the Contax 645 80mm f2.
