Daylight hours dwindle as the autumn solstice acquiesces. Leaves are unceremoniously blown off their only known homes. Once perched on the strong limbs of trees they now blanket the forest floor as they somehow know winter is coming and sacrifice themselves to keep the earth warm.
These scans are from a trip to Banff the first week of November. The snow was a slight dusting from overnight, like an artist putting the final touch on a landscape.
