Ricoh GR1v Giveaway

FINAL UPDATE:  The day has come and I will be parting with my Ricoh GR1v camera. At times this giveaway felt like a sprint and at others an endurance race. I felt an overwhelming response from you guys. It has truly been a blast. We had people go through their old film photos, people shoot new film photos and most importantly it was all film! There have been difficult times as well though. How do you take almost 150 entries and choose the best photo story? With help of course. Many thanks to the 4 judgers who picked our winner. HAMISH GILLRAY LAROSEMICHAEL PRETZSCHMIKE POULIOT. Without them I would still be swimming in photos. I have learned much and enjoyed many things about this giveaway so far. Thank-you very much to all who contributed. It is interesting to go through all the entries and see different parts of the world, many different cameras and film being used.  Unscientifically I think the Olympus Mju might be the most popular.  I have gained so much from friends and the film community and I am happy to give back in any way I can. I hope this contest inspires people to shoot more film. Community is important to me, see what I wrote about it here. If you haven’t already please go check out Ray Larose’s Ricoh 500 ME giveaway. Cool stuff!

Claudio Gomboli – I need your address !  Your unique take on life was chosen as the winner. I too really enjoyed this one, I can see why it won.

I was part inspired by Ray Larose and Hamish Gill to host this contest. I love their passion for the film community and decided to step up and contribute myself.
